Nihilent snaps up second acquisition within a year; acquires ERP player, Intellect

The latest development results in Nihilent acquiring second company within a span of one year following its acquisition of US-based BI and analytics solution provider, GNET in October last year. As a comprehensive IT and consulting services provider, Nihilent will now have increased width and depth in its offerings in the global ICT market, including Digital Transformation, Natural Language Processing, Mobility solutions, Analytics & BI and enterprise applications.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. LC Singh, Vice Chairman and CEO, Nihilent said, “Nihilent is poised to emerge as a stronger comprehensive player in the overall enterprise space. The Intellect acquisition will not only help us in enhancing our value proposition to our existing customers, but will also enable to build up our readiness in serving domestic customers. We look forward to leveraging Intellect’s strengths in the areas of SAP consulting, implementation and support. Mr. Minoo Dastur, President and COO, added, “In this era of digital marketing and sales coupled with the Internet of Things and SMAC, ERP systems have increasing role among enterprises more than ever. The Intellect acquisition is certainly a big fillip to our business.”
Intellect is one the largest domestic SAP practices in India with over 200 expert resources, and 15 years of specialist experience. The company’s offerings also include mobile enterprise applications and web portals. In the year 2013, Intellect was among the top 3 finalists for the Technosavvy SME at the Emerging India Awards. Mr. Sabahat Kazi, co-founder and director, Intellect referred to the significance of the agreement, “We are confident of expanded reach for our solutions, given Nihilent’s scale and global presence”.
